Today Arfred is serving Artisanal Brew Works – Warheads Extreme Sour Black Cherry, a 5% sour made with Warheads candy. I avoided this candy as a kid – I couldn’t handle the face-puckering extreme tart. I was expecting more of a slap in the face from the beer, but it actually came out very nice. Shared this one with my brother-in-law-to-be (if that’s what you call your sister’s fiance) and we both enjoyed. I think my biggest disappointment was finding out this brewery is in Saratoga. I used to live at the track every weekend in the summers up there – I would have loved stopping by the taproom if I knew it existed. This is what I get for having my degenerate gambler blinders on and missing all the local gems outside of the racetrack. Cisco recommends spending more time exploring the places you visit.
